Labadee, Haiti
Labadee is a small part of Haiti which is leased by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for their private use. It is only about a half mile long and quarter mile wide, but it was a peninsula with four nice beaches.
We spent the entire day there, swimming, lounging, eating (BBQ lunch catered by the cruise lines) and souvenir shopping. There was shopping owned and run by RCCL, but the most interesting shopping was bartering with an area confined to local Haitians selling their wares. They were very aggressive...asking for $50, but settling for $10 or less. I enjoyed it, but Gloria found it too much for her. Page Links Sample of Daily Activities & Shopping Guide
