Labadee is a peninsula leased by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines on Haiti for their private use. The entire day

was spent on Labadee with RCL providing a BBQ style lunch and entertainment. There were plenty of beaches

and water activities available. We chose riding wave-runners, parasailing, shopping and relaxing for the day.

Kevin, Dennis and I went on a wave-runner tour of part of the island.

We were able to go full-speed (about 40 mph) going from one stop

to another. Luckily the sea was pretty calm so as not to bust our nuts.

At one stop, some of the Haitian natives came out to sell their merchandise

Bartering with the Haitians - The Haitian Flea Market is the only place on this peninsula

where non-RCCL employed Haitians are allowed to sell their merchandise. It is a game

of bartering back and forth until you reach a price. They are intense as you walk down

the aisle to get your attention and make a sale.
