Santa Catalina

Catalina Island has only one city: Avalon. The Wrigley family bought 95+ percent of Catalina in the early 1900s and eventually built

 a ballpark on the island where the Chicago Cubs held spring training for most of a 30-year period. They still own 95+ percent and have

limited any commercial or private growth on the island over the years. Catalina is approximately 26 miles off the coast of California.
